The BETTER story is robust. It begins with the questioning 14-year-old mind of Ornella Byak, who finds a drive she can’t explain, other than the action it produces. She stands, at this moment in time, as a dynamic 23-year-old CEO of an NFP with the powerful acronym ‘BETTER’ Timor.
To tell Ornella’s story was a beautifully daunting endeavour. To then place her mission on pages as a testament that legitimises an entire organisation of volunteers set on fulfilling that mission, was quite something else; it left this word-geek almost speechless with responsibility.
To date, Imagine Copy has completed BETTER’s website copy, rewritten Ornella’s original story (as published on the site), and is in the final stages of completing the One Page Media Pitch.
I am honored to be involved. I am honored further by my written-take being published by BETTER to represent them; all 60-strong volunteers, from CEO to Board of Management and every business professional in between and at grass-roots!

2016 Graduate returns to teach at first school while completing University!
Meet Sandra, one of the first alumni from the first school.
Today, Sandra goes back to the first school to teach Chemistry and Multimedia in her university breaks. She is one of many students who return to the school to give back. Sandra is studying Chemistry and Education at the National University of Timor Leste in Dili.
